The Opportunity
We are looking for a high-performing Project Lead to join a key Government agency and drive a critical property workstream through to mid-2026. This is a fast-paced role requiring a rare blend of strategic procurement expertise and the ability to navigate complex government investment frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management: Manage day to day programme activities, and guarantee seamless integrated work between the projects teams, between design and delivery
Business Case Development: Lead the development of robust investment cases following the Better Business Case (BBC) five-case model.
Property Procurement: Overarch the delivery teams within a property/facilities context, ensuring compliance with Government Procurement Rules.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary interface between internal business units, legal, and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
Reporting & Governance: Maintain high standards of documentation, risk management, and reporting to steering committees and senior leadership.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
BBC Experience: A deep understanding of the Treasury’s Better Business Case framework
Property Context: Proven track record in property-related projects (fit-outs, relocations, or renewals) and construction/property procurement, and Operating model changes.
Public Sector Fluency: Exceptional knowledge of government machinery, including legislative requirements and treaty obligations.
