Retailers of the future, whether online or in-store, will need to be highly responsive to consumer demands for service and products. Furthermore, online platforms will allow retailers to understand and keep up with customer demand like they never have before.

 

The Clothing Retailing industry has grown over the past five years, despite challenging retail conditions. Industry revenue is expected to increase at an annualised 0.2% over the five years through 2018-19, to total $2.5 billion.

 

Positive consumer sentiment and rising household disposable incomes have supported revenue growth over the period. When consumer sentiment is positive, people are typically more optimistic about their current financial situation, resulting in increased expenditure on products such as clothing.
