The Company

Established in 2004, SmartPayroll provide payroll software solutions to 20,000 kiwi business owners. There has been significant investment in the sales + marketing of this business + they are on a huge growth trajectory with a rebrand + launch due at the end of this month!

The Role

The Growth Marketing Manager leads and develops the Growth Marketing team, sets the strategic direction, and leads the execution of the team’s responsibilities. They are tasked with understanding the needs and drivers of prospective customers and developing and executing a marketing programme that drives uplift in awareness and conversion to SmartPayroll. As well as nurturing existing customer relationships through communications to meet NPS targets and support customer retention.

Responsibilities include

Foster collaboration + provide high quality leadership, building and developing the skill and capability of the team

Recommends and leads the execution of a lead generation and nurture programme to generate high quality sales leads

Sets out the Content Marketing strategy for SmartPayroll and ensures regular, relevant content is developed to support lead generation and SEO targets.

Sets the Social Media strategy and oversees execution

Responsible for the website strategy, budget and management including continuous optimisation of pages and CX to drive engagement, and conversion of prospects and partners

Leads the customer communications programme including regular customer newsletters, lifecycle communications, pricing communications and other ad hoc communications

Identifies, develops, and delivers an effective sales support programme

Sets out the Events Marketing programme and oversees event co-ordination in conjunction with the National Sales Manager

With proven commercial online results + with people at the heart of what you do, you will thrive in a fast paced role where you will bring your strategic thinking to the core of this business.

Skills include

A relevant Marketing or Communications degree

Experience leading teams and setting marketing plans and objectives

Experience leading projects and managing allocated budgets

Experience leading projects and managing allocated budgets

Exceptional copywriting and content management skills

Confident gathering information, deriving insights and presenting these back to the business with recommendations
