Senior Project Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Project Manager to deliver construction, planning and infrastructure project.

You will ideally have experience in social policy, planning or urban design working collaboratively with Government agencies and subject matter experts including, strategists, planners, engineers and external contractors.

You will be an effective communicator with the ability to coach, mentor and provide effective support and guidance to delivery teams. Familiarity with local government strategy, planning and infrastructure is desirable and you must have the flexibility and adaptability to deliver different types of projects within a large scale, multi-agency programme setting.

The successful candidates will be highly computer literate with a proven track record of producing project documentation and maintaining accurate project data.

You will have

Bachelor's degree, ideally in business, social policy, planning or urban design, engineering or related field that demonstrates ability to think critically and solve problems

10 years' experience managing large or complex construction projects and/or programmes including a sound knowledge of NZ3910

Formal project management training or certification (e.g. Prince2, PMP, Agile)

Demonstrated ability to lead project teams

Demonstrated commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers

A good understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and the ability to contribute professionally within a bicultural environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail, high quality standards, and excellent organisational skills

The ability to understand and apply relevant building legislation and regulations

Programme Management experience and public sector experience would be an added advantage.
