RobLawMax has exclusively partnered with Contact Energy in the recruitment of this newly created critical role at their Wairakei branch.

As the Senior Engineer / Team Leader reporting directly into the Capability Lead, you will be required to provide technical leadership & management to the Geothermal Engineering team and across the wider business as well as implementing improvements in technology & processes. This means that you will be highly skilled within the discipline as you will be Contact's Subject Matter Expert across the business which includes taking ownership of the relevant company standards/ procedures, training and ensuring best standards are met.



Other Key responsibilities include

Responsible for the mechanical engineering activities across Contact's Geothermal fleet

Act as the Section Lead for the engineering team by supporting, leading & mentoring the Engineers

Execute projects which includes the provision of technical advice, risk assessment to outage and other major projects

Manage the Geothermal Fleet system and configuration and status

To be successful in this role, you will need

Degree in Engineering ideally with CPEng, INt PE with Engineering / Management

At least 10 years experience within Power or Heavy industry

Extensive experience in geothermal Engineering and systems

Extensive experience in geothermal Engineering and systems

Project & Contract management experience

Able to communicate technical advise to people on various levels

Posses the ability to influence, lead and manage people

Highly skilled in implementing processes across the business
