RobLawMax Recruitment has exclusively partnered with Liquigas who is New Zealand's leader for storage, distribution and trading of bulk LPG delivering a safe, reliable and cost effective service to its customers nation-wide. Due to a change in resource needs, Liquigas are now looking to engage with a Mechanical Engineer to join them at their HO in New Plymouth.
About the role
As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be required to manage the reliability and integrity of Liquigas assets through the application of asset management strategies and maintenance standards. You will work broadly across the business and provide technical support across pressure equipment, pipeline integrity and structures to internal and external stakeholders which include Mechanical Technicians & project based Contractors and Consultants.
Other key responsibilities are to
Develop, design and implement engineering and maintenance projects
Provide expert recommendations and guidance on Liquigas’ requirements to engineering consultants for concept selection, design, maintenance, and safety aspects of externally resourced projects
Ensure a high level of asset integrity and reliability is sustained in the pressure and pipeline equipment and systems on all depots
Ensure the Company is fully compliant in terms of Pressure Equipment and Pipeline Regulations with Certifiers through the various management procedures
Assist with the development of mechanical engineering and maintenance budgets and the capital expenditure budgets
To be successful for the role, you will need
Tertiary qualified within Mechanical Engineering or similar
Senior level broad experience across all aspects of mechanical and piping engineering preferably with oil & gas knowledge
Expert understanding of the regulations, codes, and standards that govern this discipline of engineering
Experience in the implementation of engineering and maintenance projects on an operating facility
Expert knowledge of the repair and maintenance of mechanical plant
Ability to provide technical support and lead external projects
