Our client is an established fully industrial manufacturer and employer of choice based in the Sunny Hawkes Bay.

Reporting into the Area Manager as part of a Processing Division your role will see you being responsible for providing engineering expertise and undertaking process, environmental, quality and safety investigations and driving associated improvements in your area.
This division works on a 24/7 basis operating a range of heavy industrial plant and machinery on site. Recent capital improvements have manufacturing capabilities which is focussed for international markets.
This rolewill see you mentor and support a small team of Process Engineersto improve operational efficiencies, productivity, safety, resource utilisation, cost minimisation and revenue generation.You will have a solid understanding of pumping systems, process control/dynamics and exposure to chemical process or an understanding or significant experienceofheat/mass transfer processes along with exposure to project planning and project management.
An understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles and insight to financial calculations to determine project paybacks will be useful.The position requires a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Technology, Mechanical or Process) and a minimum of 8 years manufacturing or heavy industry experience within the pulp or a heavy process industry.As a Senior Engineer you will be comfortable working autonomously andutilisingyour developed communication and project management skills to support Junior colleagues while interacting with a rangeof internal and external stakeholders.As machinery and equipment becomes increasingly automated, experience or insight to Control Systems and bridging the gap from Process Engineering to Automation would also be beneficial.
