About the Company

MaxFoods, the parent company of Ocean Blue and Clearly Premium make great tasting seafood simple and convenient to eat and entertain in style. Their responsibly sourced and hand selected Atlantic salmon and ocean trout are traditionally smoked to perfection in cold-smoked slices or hot smoked portions. Ocean Blue is ranged in Countdown stores across NZ and their parent company is looking to recruit an exceptional National Account Manager to manage the NZ business. MaxFoods is a large FMCG supplier based in Australia and has a large range of brands and products spread across multiple categories. There is a real opportunity for the National Account Manager position to grow with the business.

About the Role

The National Account Manager will predominantly be responsible for the Ocean Blue and Clearly Premium seafood brands across Woolworths NZ as well as wholesalers. You will drive business growth across all channels and customers and will be responsible for the complete value chain from overseeing order management, customer business planning to field team management. There is a real opportunity to broaden the business and move into other channels and retailers within the NZ market. There is an added responsibility of managing the relationship with the 3 rd party merchandising agency to ensure in store activations are running smoothly. This is a broad and all-encompassing role where you can add true value across multiple business functions as opposed to being a cog in the wheel of a corporate FMCG supplier.

About You

You will currently be a Key Account Manager or Senior Key Account Manager at an FMCG supplier. Ideally, you will have had experience managing grocery retail accounts and be looking for a step up to own the strategic responsibilities of a Business Manager. This is an autonomous role where you will need to be agile and able to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment. If you have been in positions at larger businesses and have been looking for that next step into a strategic role with a broad remit, this could well be the right opportunity for you.
