About the Role

The technician will provide IT Desktop Support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment.

This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.

The Technician will troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required that meet or exceeds user’s expectations and SLA targets.

Other areas include including, Tablets (Windows, iOS, Android), Laptop, Printers, Desk and Mobile Phones as well as the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose any IT issue impacting the end user space (network, infrastructure servers, etc).

The is also an expectation to support client application from Microsoft applications to specific business applications Delivery of high quality services to our Customers, which maintain and enhance user productivity and encourage the customer’s self-sufficiency To carry out relevant project work and training as required enhancing the effectiveness of both the individual and the Information Services environment

About You

Minimum of 3 years IT/ICT Customer Service experience.

Experience with helpdesk/call centre management tools e.g. Altiris/HEAT/Infra/Remedy or similar

Thorough knowledge of enterprise Printers and Print Queues

Understanding of ITIL methodologies

In depth PC, laptop, and peripheral hardware knowledge/ problem solving techniques (laptop/PDA’s/VPN support essential)
