About the Role
It’s a supply planning role with a bit of difference…but at the end of the day planning and accurately managing the supply of inventory to meet sales demand/forecast is the key to success!
You’ll plan and manage the supply of inventory to meet the sales demand / forecast at the greatest possible cost-efficiency to the business. You will coordinate and manage the shipping and import processes following purchase order placement, including import cost sign-off/processing, storage, and resource capacity management.
Some of the specific responsibilities include
Raise Purchase Orders for overseas and local suppliers.
Review inventory levels to enable on-time deliveries and minimised freight costs.
Ensure correct and accurate documentation is processed received from the supplier, processed accurately with the customs agent, shipping agent and the bank.
Control and co-ordinate the entire shipping process
Work collaboratively to resolve inventory supply risks.
Deal with Customs, MPI border security and food safety documentation and questions.
Ensure accuracy of ERP master data for suppliers and inventory, highlighting any discrepancies.
Liaise with 3PL providers for additional storage space as required.
You will be an experienced supply planner with a good few years’ experience. A good understanding of the S&OP process, its principles and levers will enable you to hit the ground running and bring your skills and experience to the team. You’ll have a strong capability to see the big picture, work within the detail and ensure alignment between the two. You’ll no doubt have excellent communications skills and strong data analysis and reporting capability.
CI/lean knowledge and experience will be an advantage
