About the Role

The Social Media Specialist role is a new role dedicated to helping Air New Zealand deliver world-class social media that drives the Airpoints’ brand and commercial objectives. You will be responsible for delivering the Airpoints brand’s social media strategy, constantly reviewing, initiating, and recommending new and innovative ways to ensure the Airpoints brand takes a leading position in New Zealand. This is an influential role where you will be tasked with planning and delivering specific content, projects, campaigns, and ad recommendations for the Airpoints brand’s social channels that are aligned with wider business strategies and will engage Air New Zealand’s diverse audience.

About You

This is a role where you will have a strong passion for social media with particular focus on strategy, content creation, paid social and channel best practice.

You will also be

Experienced in running corporate social media accounts across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Creative – you find it easy to come up with creative social-first ideas for the channels

A strong communicator with the ability to successfully influence and manage internal and external relationships (including agencies and online communities)

Curious – to constantly research and understand the global social media landscape and look for new and innovative ways to apply best practice.

Strong technically with the ability to measure campaign performance.

Experienced working alongside brand and marketing experts as the social media go to

Tertiary qualified in Marketing or Communications.
