About the Role

This Senior Relationship Manager (Agents) role reports into the experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships, sitting within the Partnerships team and is responsible for the growth and loyalty of chartered accounting firms, ranging from small firms, smaller business clients to sole practitioners.

The region this role will manage mostly is Auckland, however, can cover the Central North Island (including Waikato and Tauranga) for our financial services client.

This role will set the strategy and direction across mainly existing clients, so is first and foremost a solid CRM role, but also working closely with the Client Care team and Client Delivery team to drive new business opportunities - so a level of business development is required (both existing and new clients).

As you’d expect this role requires sales account planning as well as quality workflow, processes and campaigns to grow the business (including retaining, acquiring, developing and maintaining clients).

A consultative approach building credibility and profile with a range of clients is required and their sometimes-complex business needs - providing the easiest solutions and training that add value. Therefore, this role requires someone who is used to engaging with various levels of multi-disciplinary clients and internal stakeholders.

This role would suit someone who is numerate and used to managing complex solutions for clients with the support of your team. At times, this role will need to assist with the transactional work. The sales operations team can help this role set and monitor appointments through Auckland, Waikato and at time Tauranga.

Previous tax management experience or affiliation with the tax and/or accounting industries would be beneficial.

This role has both team and behavioural targets for revenue and growth across clients with bonus.

This role would suit someone who would thrive in a professional, rapidly evolving market, including the tech and IT space to help support client’s needs.

This role involves travel around Auckland and to Hamilton with some flights around the Central North Island also.

About You

You will have solid Client Relationship Management experience working with a range of clients. It’s not essential that you have worked with Chartered Accounting firms previously, but it would be great if you have!

You may have worked the Tax, Financial Services, Advisory, Professional Services sector, however we are truly open to the full services sectors as well. Its all about being able to build/maintain relationships and then service and train clients when needed through an understanding of the tax market (which you can be trained in)

You will be both strategic and hands on, with solid commercial acumen and the ability to provide solutions to a range of client stakeholders throughout the business. So, you will have proven experience with consultative sales account planning and client maintenance.

You will be a natural relationship builder who can understand clients’ challenges and devise solutions that add value to their business, sometimes with complex, numerical solutions that you are providing
