About the Role

In the Android Software Engineer role you'll develop software for our new dashcam product. writing software which deploys frequently to thousands of connected in-cab units. You'll be working with new technologies to solve exciting challenges

Develop software that scales beyond 100k devices.

Design new features and products used by hundreds of thousands of drivers every day.

Maintain high standards for security, accuracy and reliability.

Promote a DevOps lifestyle - you build it, you own it!

Develop android applications for custom hardware. Getting to know embedded systems (and their limitations), architecture, development methodologies and standards.

About You

Must have built Android Apps that are headless and have integrated with software and hardware (must understand hardware - A headless system is typically an embedded device that is without a user interface)

Previous experience as a Kotlin/Java Native Android developer

Familiarity with deployment of Android applications and monitoring them through their entire lifecycle

You have solid commercial experience of OOP development

Automated testing, you know of and have used unit-test and integration test frameworks.

Experience integrating with REST services using JSON
