The company

Our client is one of the largest fully integrated logistics providers operating in New Zealand. Due to their global supply chain ties and local network, they are in a prime position to grow their market share as an end to end solution for both domestic and international clients.

Our client deals with a variety of commodities across all industries and has a close link across the Tasman that refers business through where possible. There is also a heavy focus on technology to help both internally and create more visibility for customers externally. This role will have a domestic logistics focus.

The Opportunity

You will be acting as the key representative with the assigned clients, and their

representatives, ensuring service levels are adhered to within budget/finance and contract requirements. You will be responsible for managing the domestic performance for the contract in-line with contractual service expectation and KPI requirements.

We need someone who can be both in the detail and hands on as this client can be quite demanding. You will meet on a regular basis with key client representatives to discuss service provision, promote and develop further opportunities for business growth, service expansion and improvement. Liaise with 3rd parties and suppliers, as and when required to facilitate the work completion.

The responsibilities vary in this role as you will need to assist with contract negotiations, RFPs and RFQs, and soliciting sales leads, while also keeping a close eye on the transactional grunt work going on behind the scenes. In a nutshell, the hiring manager wants someone who can ensure all customer / client requests are properly received, recorded and processed in a timely and efficient way.
