Organisation in the health sector seeks an experienced manager to lead the Research and Evaluation team for health system innovation and improvement.

This role has been shaped to lead the direction of research and evaluation, which will be vital in the new health reform environment.

The Research & Evaluation Manager plays a key role in providing leadership and technical advice to the Director and Leadership Team, to ensure better outcomes areachieved through research, evaluation and clinical audit.

You will be responsible for developing and maximising the capacity and capability of Health staff by facilitating health services research projects and evaluation activity. This requires identifying and building relationships with key clinicians and contemporaries at universities, research foundations, other DHBs, Mana Whenua and other.

You will already be a confident senior leader and your collegial approach will be used to influence, as well as participate, in all initiatives. An effective collaborator and integrator, you are someone who can bring a diverse range of skills together and can proactively identify opportunities for your team to initiate and lead the generation of new knowledge - or provide new insights into existing knowledge.

We are looking for senior level experience in applied research or evaluation management, and a proven history of leading, motivating and developing people.
