Our client is a New Zealand success story that have had a footprint in New Zealand since 2005. They work closely with a number of organisations around New Zealand in and around nutrition initiatives. Due to a number of tenders being won, they have experienced exponential growth in the past 18 months. With this, systems and processes are being reworked as they worked to adapt to the new norm.
About the role
Working to support the procurement manager, you will manage all direct and indirect purchasing activity with pre-established suppliers. You will be experienced in purchasing and have the ability to work with and adapt to changing priorities. You will oversee the movement of goods to the ends user and look for opportunities where cost-effective activity and optimisation initiatives could be implemented.
With a purchasing background, you will enjoy working in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities, have the ability to work under pressure and be a resilient team player. You won’t shy away from lending a hand in other operational activity if and when the need comes about in the office. You will be confident in navigating your way around Microsoft Excel as the vast majority of the Supply Chain activity is currently recorded on here.
