Project Manager - High Rise Apartments
One of NZ's main commercial construction players that have expanded nationally have a strong pipeline of projects drawn from a mix of ECI, D&B and competitive tendering. They are well funded, have a strong balance sheet backed by over 30 years of successful delivery across several boom/bust construction cycles. They operate a flatter management structure with less corporate hierarchy, lower overheads and as well offering flexible employment arrangements. Projects are a mix of high rise multi storey apartments.
The opportunity would see you join an established and experienced team taking on projects from $30M - $70M in value.
You will work closely with both the Construction and Commercial Manager taking responsibility for the delivery of the project incorporating all aspects of programme, commercial, safety and quality issues, whilst maintaining and developing sound client relationships. You will be supported by a talented site team and a loyal subcontractor group.
As an applicant, you will have at least 15 years’ experience in the NZ commercial construction industry having worked for Tier 1 or 2 Contractor. Ideally you will have completed a Bachelor of Construction Management or similar degree or a trade qualification. You will have demonstrated experience in delivering a range of commercial projects including high rise residential, industrial, data centres, hotels or shopping centres.
If you have experience taking projects from tender stage to completion leading a project team being involved in design & build, stakeholder/ client management, this would be highly regarded. You have strong commercial acumen, in-depth knowledge of programming, cost reporting and budget control. Your resume demonstrates strong longevity and you come with great references.
Salary - $170K - $200K package.
