About the role
An opportunity has come up for a Production Planner to join their Supply Chain team at the head office for New Zealand, in Auckland. Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, this role will see you planning for the production across 4 different lines on a 24/6 shift during peak periods and a 24/5 shift in the offseason.
There are a large number of SKUS and 240 products in the finished goods portfolio. This is a complex role due to several variables that can change the outcome of the planned finished goods.
You will have high levels of autonomy for making big decisions in your role however there is a need to be a proactive communicator. This role will see you working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to best understand updates within production and how you will have to adjust your plans accordingly. You need to be agile and you will be energised by the ever-changing environment that you are working in.
The ideal candidate will
Have experience in planning for complex production lines
Be quick to react to short-term changes in schedules if and when required
Have the capability to initiate and implement process improvement/CI across the production planning space
Be a strong communicator who proactively engages with stakeholders
An in-depth understanding of complex elements within the supply chain will be essential.
A process improvement/continuous improvement would aid you to make a welcomed difference in this role.
