A business crucial National Account & Field Sales Manager position has become available and Dairyworks are looking for a high performing FMCG grocery Key Account Manager to step up in to this broad and far-reaching position.

About the Role

Reporting to the GM of Sales the National Key Account & Field Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing commercial sales objectives at a head office level with both Foodstuffs North and South Island. In addition to the key account responsibilities the role will also manage the Dairyworks field team of 5 Territory Managers. There is also a Key Account Executive reporting through who will assist and support with head office responsibilities.

This is a broad role where you will gain exposure to all facets of the business in comparison to a larger corporate or global FMCG company. It is an opportunity to diversify your experience and lead a field team, which will be critical for an ambitious person focused on career growth.

As the National Key Account & Field Sales Manager you will

Achieve sales revenue, gross margin, NPD and market share targets

Seek out new initiatives and markets for short and long-term revenue growth

Develop & maintain positive relationships with key customers

Formulate sales strategies, planning processes and forecasting

Ensure effective coverage across the NZ field team

Ensure quick and effective resolution of customer matters

About You

This is an incredibly diverse and broad FMCG Sales position that is unique to medium sized food & beverage businesses. You will come from a Key Account Management background and be intimate with managing the Foodstuffs account. You will be able to demonstrate a strong analytical ability and be well versed working with insights to deliver commercially sound results for the customer and the Dairyworks business. There is a need to be adaptable, agile, and willing to work across multiple functions of the business to achieve results quickly. You will be ambitious, driven, and highly motivated to progress in your career. Relationship management and the ability to coach, mentor and develop direct reports will also be an area you are interested in and ideally have exposure to.
