About the Company

Based in Takapuna this SME business is part of a successful global network working directly with the Australian office.

This business works selling B2B to C in medical device sector currently holding 30% market share with further opportunities with their unique offering in market ready for the taking.

The office has a mixture of production and customer care employees along with an account manager and product specialist. While the majority of production is in Asia, bespoke production is done in NZ to meet the fast turnaround times and the operational management of production is with the Australian head office.

The business has proven success to date and even more ambitious plans for the future.

About the Role

Reporting into the General Manager, ANZ this newly created role for the NZ business will be responsible for the the day-to-day operation of the sales, customer service, production and logistics functions with the direction of the Australian-based functional leads in order to operationalize the ANZ strategy in the New Zealand business.

The purpose of the role is to take overall site responsibility providing business and sales leadership to ensure targets are met, drive operational change and improvements through translating strategic objectives into meaningful, actionable plans and operational directives, and to build a strong NZ team for long-term sustainable business. It really is a critical role where strong leadership skills are required.

Through translating the ANZ strategy and functional objectives into local strategies and actions this role will ensure clear and regular communication and direction for the local NZ team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior commercial sales leader to take the next step up and into country manager role with the support of the Australian office.

This is a customer focused role to develop relationships that are true partnerships bringing commercial results versus focusing on the product only.

While this role will also drive commercial partnership with key accounts it is also a key role to drive change and bring in new processes and implement these within the running of the business.

About You

You will have proven senior leadership experience mentoring teams support positive sales outcomes.

So – a successful sales leader, with a demonstrated history of building and leading teams through inspiring leading and driving the organisational culture. Comfortable with setting up processes and embracing change when needed.

You will have experience developing and managing the implementation and execution of key growth strategies, tactics and action plans within a SME business.

You will be an expert communicator and be able to set a clear direction and expectations for a team and enable them to succeed and feel valued.

B2B / B2B to C sales experience in a leadership role is a must!

Even better if you have experience in the medical device sector or similar retail operations.
