About the Role

As a part of the Architecture & Design team this role will provide leadership, development and assist with management of the Regional Integration Architecture. This role will generate and ensure that the Integration Architecture designs align to principles, standards and the enterprise architecture, while ensuring architectural compliance at the programme and project level.

This role requires experience to oversee and align solutions to fit a changing environment. Deviations from standards are called out with recommended mitigations identified. Good understanding of the high level as well as a strong understanding of the “nuts and bolts” technical detail level and has the ability to properly review and sign off detail.

The role of Integration Architect will cover integration architecture (cloud based, Integration as a Service and on-premise) focusing on applications, integrations, databases, high availability and disaster recovery, including cloud and Integration as a Service which forms part of the wider enterprise architecture for the region enabling the Northern Region DHB's to deliver key strategic business and IT initiatives.

The role requires emphasis on defining, documenting, optimising and integrating the flow of information not only throughout the organisation but also with key external parties including Primary Care Providers (including GP practices), other DHBs, NGOs, community providers, vendors and patients. The use of digital process enablement and associated technologies being paramount.

The role will deliver the following responsibilities

Assist with the adoption of an Enterprise Architecture and transformation vision and standards based HISO/TOGAF standards.

Generate modern solutions focused on cloud based technologies.

Generate High Level Solution Designs (HLSD) ensuring alignment to principles, standards and strategy and present to the architecture governance forum.

Generate Integration Architecture and designs based on interoperability standards for health and non-health solutions.

Generate Detailed Designs (DD) when required ensuring alignment standards and the HLSD.

Peer review HLSD and DD and sign off DD done by another person.

Assess and quote high level project tasks including resource efforts and duration.

Provide leadership to technical leads and development teams.

Through effective communication and education, promote and build understanding of the Northern Region Integration Architecture

Understand and document the current state Integration architecture using the adopted Enterprise Architecture standard.

Work with the Domain Integration Architect to define and agree on integration standards and patterns

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external and be seen as a ‘trusted advisor’ to the DHBs.

Provide advice and validation on strategic alignment to other designers and project teams with regards to Integration architecture compliance.
