Beyond Recruitment is supporting [MBIE/ The Construction Sector Accord] in their search for a Industry Partnerships Manager. This is an important role within the Construction Sector Accord Transformation Programme.

The Construction Sector Accord (CSA) is a joint commitment from government and industry to work together to create a high performing construction sector in New Zealand. The Construction Sector Transformation Plan is a three-year action plan for change that is focused on addressing the challenges faced by the sector. The CSA Transformation Team is “hosted” by the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment (MBIE). This team will ensure the success of the current iteration of the Transformation Plan, build on momentum of the work done to date, and develop the plan to be fit for purpose moving forward.

You would act as a vital channel between the Construction Sector Accord and key stakeholders across the industry. Using extremely well honed influencing and engagement skills, you would ensure that the transformational work of the Accord is both responsive to, and informed by, industry.

You would build great understanding of the Transformation Plan, and how the initiatives within it will affect different stakeholder groups within the industry. You would also understand the realities and challenges of working in the sector, and collect intelligence that is used to improve the Accord Transformation Unit’s understanding of current trends and emerging issues.

Acting as a facilitator you would be making connections between organisations and leaders to activate and grow the Accord Network, and increase support for Accord initiatives out in the sector.

You will bring

Considerable account management experience in government, a regulatory environment or the private sector.

Significant experience in influencing, developing and maintaining co-operative, partnering relationships and negotiating with stakeholders, potential suppliers, senior managers.

Strong conflict management skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated by credibility, personal or collaborative influence, managing expectations and targeted persuasion.

Demonstrated ability to develop strategies which result in a change in the level of engagement by customers or potential customers.

Considerable experience professionally representing an organisation to senior levels across government or the private sector.
