Hospital Administrator / Receptionist

My client seeks bright eyed, bushy tailed temps to join them in this busy administrative role. You will receive full training and support along the way and you will work alongside a team of like minded people.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday for an initial period of six months, working for a very large health organisation and involves managing the process of scheduling appointments and the whole clinical process surrounding that. Your days will involve

Reception Duties

* Meeting and greeting patients and families in a warm and welcoming manner

* Answering phone enquiries and referring calls of a clinical nature to the appropriate health professional

* General house keeping of reception area and waiting room

Scheduling of appointments

* Managing the patient referral process, including liaising with internal and external referrers

* Sending patients all relevant appointment information and providing patients with information as requested

* Printing clinic lists and preparing patient packs in a timely manner prior to clinic event and arranging for delivery of patient packs to the clinics

* Reschedule appointments as required if clinics cancelled

* Co-ordination all pre requested tests, investigations and procedures as required and ensuring completion and availability of results prior to clinic event

Surgical booking activities

* Using electronic daily waiting lists reports to book patients for their surgical procedures ensuring a patient focused booking approach is used at all times

* Updating patient details on booking system as booked for surgery and scheduling point of adminssion, bed and ward

* After surgery, closing off all surgical episodes within booking system
