Today, they are part of a global business and are a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality sustainable paper products made in their Auckland and Dunedin sites. They lead the market in grocery where they dominate multiple categories and are a strong contender in the away from home channel. They are passionate about sustainability and providing their people the opportunities to develop and the space to grow. Following a recent asset acquisition, they have redefined their strategy and are set for a massive 2022. To support this growth, they are looking for a talented individual to lead their finance and IT functions.

About the Role

Reporting into both the NZ Country Manager and Group Finance offshore, you are the commercial representative on the NZ SLT. Your technical expertise and guidance will be essential in supporting your peers, and providing detailed, accurate and timely reporting to the Business, group finance and Shareholders. Equally important is your voice, recommendations and input into commercial, strategic and financial decisions that will guide the business around new markets, products, systems, customers, suppliers and acquisitional growth. You will own the strategic thinking for IT ensuring robust policies and procedures are in place and adhered to. You will also be key to the effective SAP implementation in 2023. Being an innovative, agile and fast paced 24/7 environment, this role will evolve and develop quickly with significant growth ahead next year. But you can’t do all this alone, you will also lead highly engaged finance and IT teams.

About You

You will be a professionally qualified accountant, a proven inspirational leader and experience in manufacturing is not negotiable. Confidence being hands on is essential to inspire your teams and you must thrive when dealing with ambiguity. It’s a strategic role so your commercial analysis and modelling skills will be second to none. Previous experience leading IT isn’t essential, but you must be system savvy and will likely have previous implementation projects under your belt. Treasury is managed locally so previous hedging experience would be the icing on the cake. You must be ready to make a significant contribution as a key member of a tight knit Executive team who are on a mission to achieve greatness!
