Group Financial Controller

Job Description:

Tribe Recruitment ltd

About the Company

An FMCG business with a difference! This Kiwi company is synonymous with entrepreneurship and taking “NZ Inc” global. Their brand has made a huge splash in its many international markets and with a significantly increased distribution network there is no stopping them! To support this growth, there is an opportunity for a commercially astute and technically savvy Group Financial Controller to join their high performing finance team in central Auckland.

About the Role

Along with the FP&A Manager, you will report to the GM Global Finance and own the global consolidated group reporting function and commentary on the insights that lie behind the numbers. Taxation and management of Treasury policy and hedging are your remit, as well as the Audit relationship. Your technical expertise and guidance will be essential in providing detailed, accurate and timely financials to support the Regional GMs, Advisory Board and parent company. Being an innovative, agile, and fast paced environment, this role will evolve and develop quickly including the potential opportunity for additional leadership responsibilities.

About You

A professionally qualified accountant, where you honed your technical skills isn’t important, but client-side experience is essential and enough to know what great looks like. You won’t be afraid of being hands on but equally effective motivating a team of international accountants. Systems savvy, previous ERP implementation experience would be the icing on the cake. An already slick month end close has opportunity for further streamlining so a passion for best practice will be welcomed. Exposure to consumer or other high volume / low value transaction sectors will allow you to hit the ground running. Some travel will be required when borders permit.
