About the role

We are looking for a GIS specialist to work on one of New Zealand’s biggest roading projects. Valued at over $600M this is a huge programme requiring extensive work over the next few years. As GIS specialist for one of the Alliance organisations you will manage all spatial data and provide expert GIS analysis and advice for this project.



Provide expert GIS analysis and create new spatial content

Use GIS analysis to solve relevant project problems

Ensure data is collected accurately and cleanly

Manage and maintain web and mobile applications

Convert GIS data and translate into other mediums

Successful applicants will have

5 years’ experience with GIS analysis

Ideally infrastructure experience, especially roading / transport

Working knowledge of ArcGIS extensions

Great communication and presentation skills

The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships

Tertiary qualification in GIS, computer science, or other relevant discipline/s
