About the Role

A traditional EA role, providing support to the CEO for a month before the new incumbent starts. This is a busy and fast paced role, and will suit someone that has initiative and is able to think on their feet.

Key areas of responsibility are to

provide diary management, resolve meeting conflicts, and prioritise in a timely manner

provide correspondence on behalf of the CEO, by screening all inward communications and acting on issues quickly

liaise with Senior Executives internally and externally providing a highly professional service

provide administrative support, including preparing documentation, eg travel expense claims, stationary orders, briefing papers

provide board level secretarial support for management and shareholder meetings, including agenda development, minute taking, report and presentation preparation, arranging facilities, social events, accommodation and catering

anticipate information and organisational needs of the CEO, ensuring adequate preparation and arrangements are made for all upcoming meetings

continually explore ways to enhance own and CEO’s ways of working

About You

Coming from a previous EA role, you will have strong commercial acumen and highly professional communication skills. You may often correspond on behalf of the Directors, so you must be able to assess situations appropriately and communicate using a balance of facts and intuition.

You will take pride in your ability to seamlessly organise and coordinate every aspect of the busiest day, truly acting as a ‘right hand’ to those you support. You will be able to commit to full time hours of Monday – Friday and be based on site in Newmarket for the duration of the assignment.

You ideally have

Strong communication skills with attention to detail and high emotional intelligence

Resilience to work within a fast-paced, high pressure environment

A ‘roll up your sleeves’ proactive attitude

A ‘roll up your sleeves’ proactive attitude

You will also have key technical skills to deal with Outlook mailboxes receiving a high volume of emails, as well as prepare letters and memos within Word, and manipulate data for graphs in Excel.
