The Company
My client is a privately owned Laboratory and Medical specialty supplier based on Auckland’s North Shore. Since their formation they have grown rapidly and have an excellent portfolio of marketing leading brands and a well-established and highly regarded reputation in the NZ market. The company operates in a very inclusive and consultative way and have social events throughout the year to help bond and feel part of a close team.
The Role
This role could be full-time 8am-4.30pm or part time, ideally something around the 8am -2.30pm to accommodate school hours for a working parent. There is the optional ability to work from home one day a week. This role is part of a very tight knit team of four people. This team is the heart of the Operations team being the first line of communication with customer enquiries by phone or email.
Key Functions
Answering the phone and helping customers with their enquiries. These will be both from laboratory or diabetes customers.
Processing orders.
Managing enquiries that come to our company by email or website chat.
Offering some support for the internal salesperson when required.
Managing the QA processes as required by suppliers and by Medsafe.
Requirements
This would suit someone with a general understanding of scientific laboratories and supplies who is comfortable reading and speaking about lab supplies. This person to be the point of call when the Lab Inside Salesperson is on leave and if they require some support. This person would also be required to be able to manage QA processes for the company’s medical devices.
The ideal candidate will possess the following
Excellent communication skills – listening, communicating clearly, written language skills and its essential they must have a clear phone voice

Science education or experience and knows some general products and what they do
Ability to follow SOP’s and processes to a high degree of accuracy.
