How You’ll Make an Impact

The Counsel role is responsible for the provision of general legal advice to all parts of the New Zealand business and supporting the provision of specialist advice to the sales, marketing and corporate affairs alongside senior lawyers in the team. Responsible for assisting with the Company’s compliance with legislation and internal governance and compliance requirements and for providing training as required across the business.

This is a role that requires the ability to do big picture thinking, but just as easily juggle the doing. There will be high levels of accountability and given the fast pace and continuous nature of the business, there is a need for flexibility, a "yes, how" approach and ability to work in an integrated manner across the business.

Here’s What You’ll Bring With You

You’ll be

3-5 years good quality post-qualification legal practice

Agile and flexible, quickly navigating between big picture to detailed thinking

Comfortable working with change and ambiguity

Great from a commercial legal sense and strong general statutory interpretation skills

An exemplary communicator who is able to build strong and collaborative relationships across all levels of the business
