They have grown organically 10 years, a well-known brand and top 3 in their space, more recently they have received a huge investment which has allowed them to ramp up their growth through development and acquisition, whilst transforming their day to day operations.
Some More Information About The role
As Group Financial Controller you will play a key role in leading and developing the finance "engine room" of the business, with the huge investment in process improvement and an ERP system upgrade, the focus is on shifting the finance team from a more traditional focus into more decision support activities.
Main responsibilities include
Leading and developing a team of over 20 people.
Transformation and continuous improvement.
Ownership of all finance activities (excluding development projects and FP&A), this includes Business Partnering, Financial/Management Accounting, Group reporting, Payroll, AP and AR. This is a critical role for the CFO who needs someone in this role who they absolutely trust to "own it".

To be successful in this role you will need to be a fully qualified accountant who is an experienced people leader, who has been involved in improvement projects. Also, you will be the type of personality who is able to make decisions and take ownership of their area, quickly building trust and respect with your teams and the CFO. This is a complex business and a broad role, so you'll need to be able to get your head around this and prioritise your resources.
There will be lots to achieve over the next few years in this role and will offer a great pathway to be a CFO.
