Commercial Manager (Procurement)
About the Role
In this strategic role, you will establish and manage assigned category and procurement activities, including driving the creation of category strategies and delivery of aligned category plans, managing key relationships with internal partners and suppliers, and improving procurement process.
You will proactively support your categories of spend including all commodities / services included with the category, contracts and sourcing activities and partner relationships associated with the category, whilst strengthening and extending internal and external partnerships.
You will support end to end procurement for assigned categories. As part of this you will be responsible for ensuring that there are
Strategic category plans for all major spend categories developed in conjunction with and endorsed by key business stakeholders
Sourcing strategies developed in alignment with the strategic category plans approved prior to formal market approach
Pipeline accuracy of contract execution and contract coverage for spend categories
Contract and commercial management compliance and partner governance activities
You will actively research external markets to provide key insights and collaborate with internal business partners to develop and execute strategic category management plans

A good level experience in a procurement or commercial role in a large organisation
Proven experience in Category Management and Strategic Sourcing with experience in Applications Procurement being highly advantageous
Experience in contract negotiations in a corporate environment
Demonstrated experience in leading go to market activity
A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to ensure the delivery of superior business outcomes
In depth knowledge and proven expertise in best practice commercial and procurement practices.
