Job Description:

Tribe Recruitment ltd

About the Company

Based in Hamilton, Good George came to life after a bunch of friends got together and decided, after years in hospitality and brewing, it was time to create their own craft brewery. Their success has meant establishing 12 outlets throughout NZ to enjoy the Good George experience. The founders were motivated to show people what great beer can be, convert drinkers from the norm and have a bit of fun along the way. Alongside a core range of beers and cider, they have also branched out to making a range of popular and interesting gin and cocktails. Their craft is getting noticed nationally and internationally but they are not stopping there!

About the Role

The CFO role has been created to provide leadership, governance, insight and support to the CEO, Board and wider Executive team ensuring their ambitious growth strategies are executed – plain and simple! It will be the critical commercial sounding board for all decision making and will play an integral role in strategy setting and business planning. But it’s not only finance that you lead, IT, People & Culture and legal will also broaden your remit though it’s not expected that you will be an expert in these disciplines as well! With aggressive growth plans, you will ensure the foundation is strong with a best practice finance function established in line with blue chip global FMCG. With a planned ERP implementation in the near future, you will also lead this important project.

About You

Professionally qualified you will likely have gained your technical knowledge in a large Public Practice firm, and you will be an experienced and inspirational leader. Commercially astute, you will be at your best supporting the business with meaningful reporting and analysis and you will be a storyteller able to translate complex numbers for a wide audience from the Board to the shop floor. As well as the strategic stuff, you will be equally happy rolling up the sleeves and mucking in, at least until growth has been realised and robust systems and processes ingrained. You will bring corporate discipline without losing the agility and entrepreneurial flair that has made this business great! Manufacturing experience will be critical to your success.

You will ideally be domiciled in Hamilton however a commute three days per week would be considered for an outstanding candidate.
