Our client is a well-known organisation providing core services to businesses across New Zealand. As a subsidiary of a large, listed corporate, they are well positioned for growth and future success.

Under the guidance of an experienced Financial Controller, an opportunity is available for a data-focused Business Analyst to join a close-knit and focused finance team.

This role is being recruited initially as a contractor, however there is some scope for the role to transition to permanent headcount if circumstances suit.

The core focus of the role will be to support the design and build of consolidation and reporting processes to deliver high quality business insight and support the business in making key decisions. The successful candidate will assist management to monitor business performance against KPI’s and strategic plans, and revenue and cost objectives. In addition, you will assist the company in designing and implementing solutions for their customers, and liaising internally to ensure correct operation and reporting. In a change-focused environment, you will identify and implement initiatives which improve the integrity and efficient functioning of internal processes.

To be considered for this position, candidates will ideally be tertiary qualified and have at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar data-focused role within a commercial environment. You’ll ideally have some experience working with software such as Power BI (intermediate) and have advanced Excel skills. You’ll have a proactive approach to your work, be able to manage competing deadlines and have a strong customer focus with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
