We are looking for multiple assistant/junior project managers across the country, in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. We work with several excellent construction project management firms who need support to deliver some exciting and challenging projects.

These firms manage some of the biggest projects across healthcare, commercial, education, civil facilities, transport, infrastructure spaces, all sorts! Project values range from $1M through to $500M and beyond – working with the likes of MoE, Kainga Ora, Waka Kotahi, local councils, DHBs, private industry clients, and more! About the role

This is a great opportunity for someone with some project management or construction experience, who is looking for a better opportunity and fantastic career development. Or possibly you’re someone with a professional services background who is looking for a change and a step-up.

You will be driving some of New Zealand’s best projects forward, managing the delivery, engaging with the client, and ensuring everything is going smoothly and solving issues as they arise.You will work in a tight-knit project management team, overseeing wider project teams of contractors, engineers, architects, designers, and more.

Responsibilities will include

Supporting senior PMs with project delivery

Construction and design management

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Contract management

Successful applicants will have

Ideally, 1-2 years in a professional services engineering, construction, or project management environment

Stakeholder management and communication skills

A creative approach to problem solving and providing solutions

Experience working on various construction projects

A relevant tertiary qualification – BEng, BConst, or similar

Most importantly, attitude is key (and I know it sounds cliché, but it’s true!). We are looking for good people who can communicate well and are interested in project management. Excellent training and support will be provided, all while gaining great experience and doing real work straight away.
