Job Description:

I am proud to be partnering with the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) to recruit for an Adaptive Planning Systems Accountant for a fixed term of 12 months. The role sits within the Finance, Organisational Capability and Services branch and has come about due to the current Systems Accountant joining a project team to focus on an exciting FMIS upgrade project that is about to kick off within DIA. This position will take responsibility for maintaining BAU within a high performing team.

What you will be doing?

The Adaptive Planning Systems Accountant contributes to the effective financial management and capability at DIA through managing the day-to-day operational relationship within Finance, across the user community and with Adaptive Planning. To also provision an FMIS that meets the day to day business requirements by identifying and leading financial system improvements that support enhanced financial service delivery at DIA through on-going continual improvement of services and capability.

What are DIA looking for in you?

Proven experience in a similar Systems Accounting role in a large and multi-disciplined organisation

Able to provide specialist advice, consultancy and knowledge of Adaptive Planning and interfaces within the business environment to the Finance Group, TSS wider Department and Inland Revenue

Strategic capability - thinks beyond immediate issues to consider the long term and broader implications, develops and explains possible future scenarios, identifies risks and anticipates long term opportunities and threats

Demonstrated knowledge of the machinery of Government

The ability to work under pressure and with little supervision to meet deadlines, set priorities and meet the requirements of management

Sound understanding and experience with SAP within a large and complex environment
