Job Description:

A great opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to join a diverse organisation on an interesting and important piece of work.

Are you an experienced Project Accountant, with strong excel, analytical and project accounting skills in a complex environment?

We are looking for an experienced contractor to add value to a complex programme of work within a large public sector organisation, with proven experience of providing financial expertise on the project itself.

Key Responsibilities

Provide financial advice and support across various streams of work within the project in order to build capability across the organisation.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders within the project in order to keep them up to date on progress and approve documents and changes to the process as and where necessary.

Extract data and reconcile balances from legacy to new systems.

Ensure SMEs are supported in delivering requirements to meet project design, whilst coordinating and preparing changes to relevant policies and procedures.

Support data migration through use of excel and analytical skills

Requirements

Proven Project Accounting skills on a large programme of work, ideally with a system/IT focus

Proven experience working with a finance/accounting environment

Advanced Excel and analytical skills
