Fueling this growth is a great team and right now Valocity is looking to hire another superstar based in their Auckland office.

The Role

The Product Owner will take a leading role within the delivery squad. They will take full responsibility for the life cycle of a product from inception through to development launch and support.

The Product Owner will be the central point for analysing and managing requests from the business stakeholders and clients taking ownership for the agreed solution and manage the delivery process including development tasks, data and other inputs necessary to resolve problems, communicate business solutions and document new processes.

Key duties and responsibilities

Continuously maximise the ROI.

Identify the features and product backlog items (PBIs) that form the MVP.

Create and prioritise a Product Backlog for the team.

Take complete ownership of the product backlog by creating user stories and features with business value identified on each item.

Create and promote a Vision for the product, each release and each sprint.

Promote a clear product vision which has the customer as the focus.

Keep the stakeholders apprised of the Product Roadmap and the progress of each increment.

Make decisions in collaboration with Epic Owners when there are ambiguities, unknowns and uncertainties.Requirements

Preferred: CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner)

Essential: Advanced in all Microsoft Office tools

Essential: 2-3 years experience as a Product Owner within a highly complex technology based agile environment

Desirable: 2-3 years experience in Product Management within the banking/technology environment

Desirable: 2-3 years experience in Product Management within the banking/technology environment

An aptitude to learn and take on new challenges

Comfortable with working in a dynamic team environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

A self-motivated self-starter
