Randstad is looking for a Level 1 to 2 support technician who is hungry to advance their IT career and most importantly their experience. Our client has established themselves across Aotearoa and has offices across the North and South Island.

What will your role be?

You will be responsible for looking after all things IT and running our help desk. As an internal support person, you will be collaborating with team members across all levels of the organisation including external providers to assist in solving technical issues.

Here is some of your responsibilities

Responding to internal customer inquiries by phone & email, resolving level 1 & some Level 2 support issues and escalate work as required within the service team

Assisting with projects and new deployments

Training staff in the companies’ systems

Taking on more complex programming work as you grow and develop in the company

Working in a small tight-knit team with supportive colleagues

Collaborating closely with staff and your team members ensuring great communication and timely resolution of issues

Involved in deploying and supporting our own software products as well as industry standard software platforms

Handling customer communications and work scheduling

Learning our retail management software platformKnowledge in INFOR or other ERP systems would be an advantage, but not a requirement of the role

What are we looking for?

1-3 years' work experience in a technology support role

Experience & competence within Microsoft technologies including Windows server & desktop operating systems, Office 365 & Active Directory

Experience a customer facing technical service role, and ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical stakeholders / clients

Some experience with Visual Basic and SQL

A brilliant track record of accuracy and attention to detail

Strong personal organisation, initiative, a great attitude, and strong work ethic

A passion for technology, along with openness to learning and increasing your skills

The capacity to cope with pressure and meet deadlines while multitasking
