About the Centre
This purpose built centre is growing quickly so are in need of a passionate and enthusiastic teacher!
This centre is relatively new, having opened in and pride themselves on their structured learning programme inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. The location being only a 15 minute bus ride from Parnell Train Station is ideal for us commuters in Auckland! Something special about this centre is the in-house catering they offer by providing nutritious meals and healthy fresh snacks.
They have an adventurous and challenging outdoor area that has been crafted in a way that offers a peaceful yet playful environment for the children.
Key responsibilities
Deliver a curriculum aligned to Te Whāriki
Plan, implement and evaluate a learning program that is responsive to the strengths and interests of children
Promote learning opportunities that are inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive
Document children’s learning and take responsibility for children’s profile books and e-portfolio as agreed with the center professional leader

The Successful Candidate
You will be a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher either provisionally or fully registered and have experience working within New Zealand. You will be flexible to work on a rostered basis and will be comfortable with both the opening and closing shifts.
Early childhood teaching qualification recognised by the Education Council of Aotearoa NZ
Knowledge and understanding of current early childhood education theory and practice
Knowledge and understanding of current early childhood education theory and practice
Be a team player who has great communication skills, with parents, staff and children
Can use initiative and is committed to quality practice standards and the principles of Te Whāriki
Enthusiasm and a strong desire to make a difference to children in their early years while building strong links with their whānau and families.
