The Role

As an Automation Network Engineer, you’ll straddle the line between DevOps and Network Engineering with a strong background and passion for both. You will be expected to use DevOps methodologies and manage your network using software and not just the command-line interface. As a team you’ll work towards reducing the manual workload through automation and improve processes and tools.

With the IT Infrastructure changing, the requirement to remove human error is greater than ever before. By having predefined networks deployed, partnering with a DevOps team allows a company to automatically push out a configuration down a network almost immediately.

Don’t fear the code, we’re looking for engineers who are passionate about embracing this change and are able to design and deliver the latest in IT infrastructure to customers as well as still acting as the support and escalation source for issues.

Skills and Experience

Experience with OpenStack technologies

Containerisation technology knowledge such as Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes etc.

Knowledge of Ansible and/or Hypervisor

Be familiar with Python/JSON/JAVA or other languages (optional)

Telecommunication/Computer/Engineering related major, Technical Background in ICT

Well motivated to accept new technologies, for example 5G/IoT

Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders and vendors.Ability to Identify and escalate more complex issues and working with the wider business to get them resolved.

Able to work in a team and independently
