They have an exciting opportunity for a Trade Development Manager to join their team based in New Market. In this role, you will work with the Trade Team to lead the organisations work in trade facilitation.
As Trade Development Manager, some of your key areas of responsibility will include
Actively seek out buyers in NZ and promote Pacific products to them to finalise export deals
Work with Pacific businesses to grow their export capability through specific programmes
Organise trade missions, trade promotion events, exhibitions, as a platform to test market their products in the NZ market and to meet potential buyers
Develop new programmes to support pacific island SMEs with emphasis on COVID-19 business recovery
Develop and maintain relationships with offshore partners and stakeholders in NZ
To be successful in this role
Strong business experience in the private sector
Excellent sales skills
Proven experience in dealing with pacific island countries
A Business degree in Trade, Project Management, Public Policy Management or related discipline
A good understanding of Strategy and General Management
A general knowledge of ICT and Accounting Functions
The ability to lead a team but also take operational responsibility
Those only with NZ Citizenship or permanent residency will be considered for this role
