New role in the business
Established for over 70 years, the business is a global, award winning and innovative organisation in the powersports industry. With 10 manufacturing sites, over 12,000 employees and a dealership network spanning the globe, our client is looking for a District Sales Manager to join the NZ team to maintain and grow accounts across NZ to ensure successful partnerships.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will initially be required to learn the product range and the features/benefits/advantages with each segment. You will be introduced to the company’s nationwide dealerships and business partners to understand their business models to support their business and long-term growth strategies.
The business works with key market insights and analytic tools to aid their decision making and they see their sales team as business consultants who act in partnership with their dealerships. Using business intelligence tools and predicting market trends you will use this information to work in partnership with your dealers to ensure appropriate sales strategies are followed and implemented to promote their product range to a larger audience and increasing company sales.
Your role will cover multiple regions around NZ and will involve approx. one week of travel per month to provide support to your dealerships. The business has longstanding dealer relationships across NZ and you will be responsible to continue to challenge and get the best out of your dealers.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will ideally be a degree qualified, energetic lover of adrenaline sports and activities with the desire to build their career in a multinational company. You will understand the importance of building and maintaining strategic business relationships and have the ability to act in partnership with your dealer to ensure positive business relationships.
Demonstrated sales and account management experience of 5 plus years within a B2B products environment across a dealership/merchant network is required to be successful in this role. This role will allow you the opportunity to promote some of the world’s leading power sports brands and we are looking for somebody who is very driven, self-motivated and can connect with people from all walks of life. You will also have strong experience working with Excel and CRM systems along with working knowledge of using sales data and insights to develop business.
