The company

This is an opportunity to join a New Zealand owned and operated business. They offer a diverse range of products and services across multiple sectors, including retail, wholesale, big-box DIY and the service industry. As a supplier of a global leading brand, they are recognised for their innovation, delivery and high-quality standards.

You will join the team based at their Head Office and DC in Wiri. With their positive culture and continued growth, they are an attractive proposition from an employment perspective. As a result of continued growth they are looking to employ a Supply Chain & Inventory Coordinator to join their team.

The opportunity

As Supply Chain & Inventory Coordinator, your purpose will be to manage and provide support of materials, inventory and logistics processes. You will work across a variety of functions across the business with the following key responsibilities

Maintain and improve all supply chain and logistics processes to ensure DIFOT targets are consistently met

Process orders, product returns and inventory adjustments

Communicate with stakeholders to ensure quality checks and costs are recorded accurately and reported across the business

Build and develop strong stakeholder relationships across the business to promote a team culture across the business functions

Purchasing of consumables and managing deliveries

Manage weekly cycle counts, input count data and investigate variances

Manage transport providers and report on delivery performance

Support the operational team providing solutions to their day to day challenges.

You will be prepared to be hands on and up for the challenge each day. This role and the business can be incredibly fast paced with lots of moving targets so you will need to enjoy this type of challenge and be able to adapt quickly when plans change. There will be a significant focus on inventory as well as processing orders along with plenty of follow up’s!

You will have supply chain experience with ideally up to 3 years practical experience preferred in inventory and logistics coordination having also working with ERP and inventory management systems. Your excellent work ethic, communication skills and hands on attitude will enable you to successfully manage projects and all areas of the supply chain.
