This company has been going from strength to strength since its establishment several years ago, increasing its distribution network and range of product offerings. To date the focus has been operational - focusing on providing the best possible service to its discerning customer base. Now it is time undertake a strategic review of their overall supply chain and operation, asking the what, why and how questions, considering options and costs to ensure the business stays at the top of its game for years to come.
This is an initial 6 month fixed term with the possibility of ongoing work. Your mandate: to review all supply chain operations and contracts, optimising processes and remove unnecessary cost. The remit is broad and will include improving supplier terms, new vendor selection or improving supply chain efficiency.
Skills and Experience:
As a senior level Supply Chain Manager or Business Operations Improvement Specialist you describe yourself as Commercial, Action Orientated, Innovative and Collaborative. Your toolbox includes:
A strong supply chain and strategic procurement background with experience in the FMCG space – ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
A strong commercial understanding and an ability to build business cases with a finance partner is essential.
Having worked across a range of fast-paced JIT, mission critical businesses you know what ‘good’ looks like and can operate as an Internal Consultant to senior management to effect meaningful change.
