Job Description:

Our Client is looking for an experienced and driven Strategic Procurement Manager to lead strategic commercial strategies for complex end to end procurements.

This role is based in Wellington Central and has no direct reports.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate that you have

At least five years previous experience working in procurement at a senior level

Previous experience working in ICT procurement

Previous experience coaching and mentoring team members

The ability to create and implement strategic sourcing initiatives

Previous experience in category and contract management activities

A comprehensive understanding of change management principles

Previous experience managing a negotiation team in multi million dollar contract negotiation

A strong understanding of contract law

The ability to develop sound working relationships at multiple levels across the organisation (internal and external)

A relevant procurement, legal or business qualification is highly desirable.
