The Company

Everyone’s favourite gift and homewares store is looking for a creative and energetic Social Media & Marketing Coordinator for a 12 month fixed term contract. You will have the opportunity to be apart of a small and collaborative team based in Rosedale, North Shore. This retailer is proud to be a New Zealand owned and operated business with six stores across NZ selling eclectic, fun and ever changing range of products from all over the world. You will be part of a growing fast-paced environment with a passion for an on-trend industry.

The Role

This retailer has had a great success growing this family run business and have had huge success online and are looking for someone to take it to the next level. You will have the freedom to be as creative as you like to grow the online business and brand.

Key responsibilities

Create, coordinate, execute day to day content, including copywriting, asset coordination, photography and posting to Shut the front door’s social media channels & weekly EDM’s

Ensure all incoming feedback on social platforms is monitored and responded to in a timely manner

Coordinate social media plans on a weekly basis to showcase stock and promotional activity for following week

Assist in planning of marketing campaigns and organise all creative assets as needed

Create promotions and social collaborations to increase brand awareness

Source/write and publish product content details on each product

Develop and manage proactive PR plan to drive in store and online sales, as well brand recognition that align to the brands strategic objectives

Increase and secure media coverage and product placement in brand appropriate newspapers, magazines, and online publications.

About You

Previous experience in marketing and communication ideally for a similar retailer of homewares, fashion or giftware.

A passion for using social media to connect and engage with audiences in particular Instagram

Excellent content creation skills in photography and experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro etc).
