About the role

This role is based in Devonport, Auckland and you will be responsible to execute a range of Shipwright activities associated with ship and shore-based Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul, and Installation activities including but not limited to

Building keel blocks, cradles, shoring, cribbing and other structures to support ships within the dock

Repair, manufacture and install furniture, cabinetry and windows and doors in commercial and marine structures

Laying, replacing and repairing of floor coverings such as carpet, vinyl and wooden flooring

Assisting with insulation installs, repairs and removals

Carrying our general carpentry requirements including maintenance

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes

Strong Health and Safety focus

Trade Certificate (Level 4) in a relevant Boatbuilding, Woodworking, Cabinetmaking or Construction discipline

Experience with Shipwright Boatbuilding & Carpentry
