Job Description:
Our client is a prestigious public organisation who are currently seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist who is responsible for providing strategic and tactical procurement direction, advice and support to the senior leadership team.
This is a sole procurement position working in the generalist procurement space.
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate
A minimum of five years' previous work experience as a Senior Procurement Specialist
Experience managing and leading procurement processes
Previous experience writing procurement policies
Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written) with a strong track record of managing the expectations of internal and external stakeholders and key suppliers
Previous experience working in business improvement
A high degree of political and commercial nous and a sound working knowledge of the machinery of government
You should hold a tertiary qualification (degree level or higher) in business, commerce or similar.
This is a permanent position.
