Job Description:

Alpha Recruitment is seeking out a capable, motivated Senior Human Resource Generalist for a one year fixed term role starting asap. This is a great foot in the door with an influential government department. You will be working with great people who love what they do, work in a fast paced environment and aren't afraid to go above and beyond to get the job done.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with sound practical judgement, the ability to prioritize, a calm head under pressure and a high degree of professional integrity. A keen understanding of key cultural and human rights concepts, including The Treaty of Waitangi, is an advantage.

Your responsibilities in the role will include, but aren't limited to

assisting with the recruitment process

providing advice and guidance to managers with respect to performance and disciplinary issues

developing and maintaining Employee Relations and HR Policies and Procedures

assisting the People and Culture manager prepare cases for mediation

assist with the development of induction and orientation process for new employees

provide suggestions for improving current systems and procedures

promote and improve Health and Safety practices
