The Client

We are recruiting on behalf of a market leader in the Australian and New Zealand workwear industry. Our client sends over one million garments to more than 30 countries across Asia, Europe, The Pacific and The Middle East. Operating end-to-end, from design to manufacturing to logistics, they are part of the leading industrial and safety products and services provider across the Tasman region.

The Role

Our client is now on the search for a Senior HR Advisor to join their organisation. This is a 12-month fixed term contract, joining the business as they go through an exciting and busy period of transition. The primary purpose of this role is to partner with the leadership team to optimise people capability and performance and execute the HR strategy alongside the company’s strategic outcomes. You will contribute to the business’ improvement by providing advice and support across employee and industrial relations, recruitment and talent management, performance management and disciplinary processes, learning and development, and other relevant areas of expertise. Duties will include but are not limited to

Execute reviews of organisational structures to meet the changing demands of the business.

Manage the roll-out of the Performance Development Planning (PDP) process to all employees within the region.

Implement, provide recommendations and administrative support to the Annual Remuneration Review process.

Build leader capability and awareness of current and proposed IR and ER legislation, utilising Employment lawyers as required to ensure accuracy of advice.

Promote a culture where people are openly recognised for their achievements and demonstrating company values and where successes are communicated and celebrated

Ensure that recruitment & selection processes are effectively utilised to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity and compliance with Company policy and employment legislation.

Monitor and report on the workforce for risk of turnover, with a particular focus on regional locations due to local competition for talent.

Build and maintain relationships with your team (and the wider HR team) and actively look at ways to support team objectives & targets. Take personal responsibility for your contribution to the performance, development, and reputation of the team.

The Candidate

Confident, resilient, and excited to offer new ideas, you have an effective communication style and pragmatic approach.

HR Advisory/Business Partnering experience at a strategic and operational level, preferably in an industrial or corporate setting.

Experience in extensive change and transition management

Has worked in a business with multiple local operating units / management teams/ geographical locations

Ability to influence and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Ability to influence and effect change in a positive and collaborative way.

Problem solving and solution focused attitude.
